Make sure to seal well after opening and place at room temperature, do not place freeze dried items in the fridge. Please note that if you do the freeze method for freeze dried items it  will add moisture to the product and that may effect the quality and duration of how long it lasts. Therefore we don't recommend it. 
 
They are bagged in mylar bags which block out the light that helps keep the product fresh and lasts longer.
